Story Chest

Chest In 2006, a friend referred me to an online storywriting competition. I was writing random stories at that time and it was a great impetus to actually write with the incentive for a cash price!!!

I didnt make a mark on the competition judges, but I rediscovered my passion for writing. For some time, I wrote for personal gratification, but slowly I gained the confidence to let the world read my work, and some of the stories did invoke encouraging comments.

So, here’s a collection of short stories by me, all aptly placed in the Story Chest.

“The Muse”

“Full Circle”

“In Stupor or in Stupidity”

“Estranged”

“Father Figure”

“Crush(ed)”

“Absurd Desire”

    Hi

I read your story at NDTV column “The Muse” it sounds too realistic to be good. You are good with words but situation you described was not extra ordinary.

Love is very simple emotion often complicated by you scholars who know so much about words and literatures but could not realize that emotion you are writing doesnt need explanation for itself or any theory, it needed to be felt and once you know it you wont attempt writing about it coz nothing can define a pain, innocence or smile but your attempt was worth appreciation.

    Hi aneesha

Read ur story ‘The Muse’ on ndtv writing room, and loved it. what i loved waz the concept, the way you wrote, and the profoundness in it. few lines caught my fancy –

Destiny is less cruel than circumstances. Circumstances overtake destiny and then wreck havoc.

There are as many colors and facets in the human countenance as there are in the sunset.

Women have a sixth sense. They can sense trouble and they can easily ascertain when a man is giving more attention, than required.

The love that survives the longest knows how to let go. The love that is most inspiring is painful and soul stirring.

these lines were more than a statement….loved your work completely. do u blog? u hav more stories? wud love to read them as well….

now i make a move, cya
    kudos
